My New Flat

This is my new flat, a kind of apartment for two people.

Finally, I could get rid of my two dirty flatmates, and also escape from my renter and his illegal ruses.

The new flat was empty, without any furniture, but that was not a problem, on the contrary it was perfect for us, because we've got a lot of stuffs. My books, Kiro's games, two beds, 4 tables, and a lot of plants.

We've found the perfect place with a lot of space for my clothes and shoes ( I don't like to go shopping, but I never grow or change and actually it can be a problem because I never find the moment to throw it away.)

Usually I get a mess in my bedroom just because of my numerous clothes. In the old flat I never found a good place for them and I decided to put them in many Ikea's boxes. These boxes are great, and big, so big that I never can find anything quickly, so... disaster... a new mess.

Now I don't have to worry any more, I can use my new wardrobes, one in the entrance, before the corridor, perfect for my shoes and coats, and one more with four doors, between the bedroom and the toilet, with space for everything else.

The kitchen is great! It is white and yellow, with the tables in grey, so the contrast of colours is very soft but nice. The shape of the room is a L, with the long arm with all the stuff for cooking and washing, and the short arm with our new grey table for the breakfast, just close to the fridge.

All the electrical appliances are Kiro's parents, but they are a loan...

The kitchen has a problem: the floor is also white. That means it is always dirty, even a hair or one spot..., it cannot be clean. So we decided to use a carpet all along the working area and so to avoid to get everything dirty.

Another little problem is that we don't have a good system for the rubbish. We need to find the way to make invisible or at least 'not so visible' our cubes for the garbage.

From the kitchen we have the access to a little terrace. It is small but very nice, with the very best orientation, South-East, very sunny and with a nice sight over the end of the city, until the forest of Simancas (a very nice village with a castle). My plants look very happy in this terrace. They are now much better than before.

The living-room. I like very much our living-room because it is very light, with three windows (not one or two, but three windows), with orientation South-East, that means thatt we have a sunny space during all day. Moreover, one with our windows is quite big, like a balcony, and with all my plants it looks more like a terrace than a living-room.


Our tables and shelves are white or orange, and we play with the position of the colours around the room.

REFORMA DEL PISO

Este verano me ha dado por limpiar y ordenar el piso. Se ha notado mucho el cambio.


Tenía pensado cambiar de piso, buscar algo más pequeño y más barato para no tener que compartir piso con nadie. He estado buscando en internet y echando un vistazo al mercado del alquiler en general. La tónica es ascendente y la calidad es baja. Me va a resultar muy difícil encontrar otro piso con la luz, el espacio, la calidad y la ubicación que tengo ahora.

No vivo en el centro, ya lo sé, pero tardo apenas dos minutos en llegar a clase por las mañanas. Eso no tiene precio. Me animé a quedarme cuando Armando dijo que estaba buscando piso, aunque al final nos ha fallado y se ha decidido a quedarse. Yo contaba con poder poner algunas cosas en el salón cuando su mesa de dibujo desapareciera. No ha podido ser, así que sólo me queda acostumbrarme a ella, colocarla donde menos moleste y sea útil. Otra vez será.

Ante tal circunstancia, sólo me quedaba la posibilidad de darle un toque nuevo al viejo piso, y qué mejor que empezar por una buena limpieza y cambio de aspecto -cambio de aspecto 'cutre' a aspecto 'normal', nada 'chic'-. Lo primero, algo que hacía mucha falta, la desaparición de una alfombre llena de suciedad y ácaros que sería buena tierra de cultivo para mis plantitas -que, por cierto, están enormes-, no creais que no lo pensé. Era una porquería y ocupaba mucho espacio.

Otro tema importante era el de los sofás. Teníamos dos sofás cutres, medio rotos, incómodos y con mal gusto. Uno de ellos estaba muy estropeado porque una chica fuertecita lo había reventado del todo. Hace tiempo que tengo unos sillones estupendos en Madrigal, esperando la ocasión para que me los lleve a 'mi piso', pero como no tengo piso, ahí se quedarán de momento. No iba a comprar unos nuevos, así que me limité a comprar o apañar unas fundas nuevas para los sofás ya existentes.

También coloqué el somier y el colchón de invitados de forma que pudiera usarse habitualmente. Para que mi dormitorio no estallara del todo tuve que colocar mis libros fuera y compré una maravillosa estantería naranja que da el cante muchísimo en medio del clásico salón de 'Cuéntame'.

Unos pocos detalles más y a correr. Tampoco se pueden hacer milagros. Para mi próximo piso será otro cantar.

PARRILLADA EN LA FINCA

Nos prestan una casita para que hagamos una fiestita, qué bien.

¡¡¡Carol va y viene!!!

Tanto despedirme de Carol, tanta pena, tantas despedidas... ¡¡¡PERO SI CADA 2 MESES ESTÁ AQUÍ DE VUELTA!!!

Vino en Navidades y se quedó por lo menos 10 días, y cuando aún no me ha dado tiempo a echarla de menos, viene de nuevo, para quedarse por lo menos un mes. No está nada mal. Que conste, que no me estoy quejando. Me alegro muchísimo. Sólo una pega: ¿cómo puedes venir para encerrarte en casa hacendo proyectos? Eso no está bien.
